Walk On The Wild Side Amazing Race - Outdoor Team Building Events in Cape Town
Cape Town Conferences > Cape Town Team Building > Cape Town Team Building Activities > Walk On The Wild Side Amazing Race
Each team is provided with navigating equipment. The team then needs to find the various activities which are hidden in different locations throughout the venue. Once an activity is located, each member of the team must complete the activity (team work here guys!) before moving onto the next activity. The first team to successfully complete all the activities and tasks are the winners.
Below are some of the activities that we offer as part of this event (number of activities done dependant on the time allocated for the event). Please note that due to many variables and ongoing product development we have not listed all the different possible activities.
The Unknown Route - Team members must find the route through the grid. Only one team member at a time. Memory plays a key
role.
Blind folded Volcano - This is a communication and co-ordination activity. Half the team members will be blindfolded. A ball needs to be transported from one pole to another with guidance from the non-blindfolded other team
members. The group must work together to balance and transfer the ball using rope handles, which are attached to the ring. The activity is complete when the ball is on the other pole.
Catty challenge - All the targets must be eliminated before moving on to the next activity. Team members need to collect their own
ammunition. Accuracy is key!!!
Chimney Stack - Build a chimney with the materials provided then try and throw the balls into the chimney
Blindfolded centipede/Ten Pin Bowling - A team co-ordination activity. Team members will be blindfolded, except for the team captain, who will be giving instructions. The blindfolded team member must walk on one pair of wooden skis, collect a ball and by
rolling the ball try and knock over as many pins as possible from a marked line.
Mohawk walk - The team must cross the imaginary river together by walking on the poles. Teamwork and balance are important
skills.
Cubes Challenge - Each team member will be given a colour cube. A colour will be given to the team. By manoeuvring the cube
components with your hands try and get your colour on one side of the cube. Hand, eye coordination is
important here.
Human Machine - The team must stand in a circle, and one person must step into the middle of the circle. They are going to build a machine, with each person becoming an active component part of the entire mechanism. The volunteer standing in the centre is the first element of the machine. To do this they will move oddly and make a peculiar noise (flail their arms around and clank or squeak all the way). This machine should have a specific number of wheels, and must be strong enough to carry two people across to the other side of the field in a rescue mission.
Hula Hoop Down - This activity is definitely much harder than it looks. The team stands in a circle, and the objective is to move the Hula Hoop down from above waste height to the ground. There are certain restrictions in terms of how the Hula Hoop is allowed to be held.
Magic Carpet - Each team member needs to stand on the small carpet. The carpet then needs to be turned over without any body part of each team member touching the floor. Some interesting body positions!
